ABOUT RHODACTIS MUSHROOM CORAL

Yuma Mushroom corals are vibrant, hardy soft corals known for their striking colors and unique, circular shape. With a fleshy cap and long, flowing tentacles, they add bold pops of color to reef tanks. Yumas are relatively easy to care for, thriving in low to moderate light and gentle water flow, making them a great choice for both beginners and experienced aquarists.

Lighting Requirements for Yuma Mushroom Coral

Yuma Mushroom corals thrive under low to moderate lighting. They prefer indirect light and can become stressed or lose color under intense lighting.

• Ideal PAR Range:
  50–150 PAR
  
  

• 50–100 PAR: Ideal for low to moderate light areas, such as shaded parts of the tank.
  
  

• 100–150 PAR: Works well in areas with moderate light but should be avoided in direct, intense light zones.
  
  

• Spectrum:
  
  

• Yuma Mushrooms benefit from a blue-dominant spectrum (420–470nm), which enhances their natural colors.
  
  

• A full-spectrum light with a balance of blue and white is also suitable, but should not be too intense.

• Yuma Mushrooms do well under LEDs, T5HO, or metal halide lighting as long as the intensity is kept in the lower range of the PAR.

Water Flow Requirements for Yuma Mushroom Coral

Yuma Mushroom corals prefer gentle to moderate, indirect water flow. They thrive in areas with light movement, but too strong of a current can cause them to retract or detach from the substrate.
