Red Sea MAX NANO G2 XL Aquarium System
The Red Sea MAX NANO G2 XL is a compact, fully equipped reef aquarium designed for reef keepers who want the simplicity of an all-in-one system with more room for aquascaping, coral growth, and livestock.
Larger than the MAX NANO Cube and Peninsula, the XL offers a 33-gallon total system volume with a deeper and wider display while still keeping all filtration equipment discreetly hidden in the rear sump. The system includes Red Sea's REEF-SPEC lighting, protein skimming, circulation, mechanical filtration, and automatic top-off, making it a complete foundation for a modern reef aquarium.

Integrated Rear Sump Filtration
The MAX NANO G2 XL uses a fully equipped rear sump that keeps filtration and circulation equipment hidden from the main display.
- Removable surface skimmer directs aquarium water into the filtration system.
- Included 225-micron filter sock provides mechanical filtration.
- Removable filter-sock compartment is NanoMat-ready, allowing installation of Red Sea's automatic fleece-roll filtration system.
- Integrated MAX NANO protein skimmer removes dissolved organic waste while helping oxygenate the aquarium.
- Dedicated media chamber accommodates activated carbon and other chemical or biological filtration media.
- Bubble trap helps reduce microbubbles before water returns to the display.
- Multidirectional adjustable return nozzles allow water flow to be directed throughout the aquarium.
REEF-SPEC Circulation
- Includes a Sicce 1550 LPH circulation pump.
- Circulates the system's water volume approximately 10 times per hour.
- Adjustable return nozzles allow flow to be directed toward different areas of the reef.
REEF-SPEC Lighting
The MAX NANO G2 XL includes Red Sea's ReefLED lighting system, designed specifically to provide the spectrum and intensity required for coral growth and coloration.

Automatic Top-Off

The MAX NANO G2 XL is also ReefATO+ ready, allowing the standard ATO system to be upgraded to Red Sea's smart ReefATO+ system with automatic top-off, temperature monitoring, and leak detection.
ReefATO+ is sold separately.
NanoMat Ready
The mechanical filtration compartment can be removed and replaced with the Red Sea NanoMat automatic fleece filter.
NanoMat automatically advances clean fleece as the existing section becomes clogged, continuously removing suspended waste before it can break down in the aquarium.
