Red Sea MAX NANO G2 XXL Aquarium System
The Red Sea MAX NANO G2 XXL is the largest aquarium in the MAX NANO family, combining the convenience of an all-in-one reef system with substantially more display space than a traditional nano aquarium.
With a 53-gallon total system volume and a 45-gallon display, the MAX NANO G2 XXL provides enough room for a more ambitious reefscape while keeping all major filtration equipment hidden in the integrated rear sump. Its 35.4" x 21.7" footprint offers excellent horizontal swimming room and aquascaping flexibility without requiring a traditional sump beneath the aquarium.

Integrated Rear Sump Filtration
The MAX NANO G2 XXL features a fully equipped rear filtration system designed to keep equipment hidden while remaining accessible for maintenance.

- Included 225-micron filter sock provides mechanical filtration.
- Removable mechanical filtration compartment is NanoMat-ready, allowing installation of Red Sea's automatic fleece-roll filter.
- Integrated MAX NANO G2 XXL protein skimmer removes dissolved organic waste while helping oxygenate the aquarium.
- Dedicated media chamber accommodates activated carbon and other filtration media.
- Bubble traps help reduce microbubbles before water returns to the display.
- Dual multidirectional return nozzles allow water flow to be directed throughout the aquarium.
- Rear sump is both NanoMat-ready and ReefATO+ ready for future filtration and automatic top-off upgrades.
REEF-SPEC Circulation
The MAX NANO G2 XXL uses dual return pumps to provide strong circulation through the integrated filtration system.
