What Makes This Fish Special?
The Sharknose Goby is well known for its bold coloration and active personality. These small gobies spend much of their day perched on rockwork, coral branches, and other elevated areas while keeping a watchful eye on their surroundings.
They may occasionally display natural cleaning behavior by picking parasites and dead tissue from willing tankmates, a trait that has made cleaner gobies popular among reef aquarists for years.
As a captive-bred ORA specimen, this fish is typically hardier, less stressed, and more accustomed to prepared foods than many wild-caught alternatives.
Behavior & Husbandry
Sharknose Gobies are active perchers that move throughout the aquarium while remaining highly visible. Their small size and peaceful nature make them ideal additions to nano reefs, mixed reefs, and larger community aquariums.
They coexist well with most peaceful fish and reef invertebrates and are rarely aggressive toward tankmates.
Like many small gobies, a covered aquarium is recommended as they may jump when startled.
