This WYSIWYG frag is in excellent health and has been fully aquacultured in our systems for years to ensure our customers receive healthy and pest free coral.

The frag is approximately 3/4" to 1" in diameter and photographed on a 3/4" frag plug for sizing.

ABOUT DISCOSOMA MUSHROOM CORAL

Discosoma Mushrooms prefer low to moderate lighting and are very adaptable.

• Ideal PAR Range:
  30–80 PAR
  
  

• 30–50 PAR is perfect for most varieties, especially the deeper reds, blues, and purples.
  
  

• Higher-end lighting (up to 80 PAR) can enhance brighter color morphs if acclimated slowly.

• They thrive under LED, T5, or soft hybrid lighting setups.
  
  

• Placement Tips:
  
  

• Best placed lower in the tank or in shaded areas to avoid bleaching from high-intensity light.

Water Flow Recommendation for Discosoma Mushroom Coral

Discosoma Mushrooms prefer low, gentle water flow.

• Soft, indirect flow is ideal.
  
  

• Just enough to bring nutrients across them without causing them to detach or close up.
  
  

• Why It Matters:
  Strong or direct flow can cause them to retract, move away, or even get damaged.
  
  

• Placement Tips:
  
  

Position them in sheltered areas of the tank, like low rock ledges or on the sandbed away from strong currents.
