Behavior & Husbandry

Banggai Cardinals are slow-moving and tend to hover in place, often near rockwork or in shaded areas. They are non-aggressive and do well in peaceful community tanks.

They can be kept singly, in pairs, or in small groups, though aggression may occur between individuals in tighter spaces.

Feeding & Diet

Carnivorous and easy to feed.

• Frozen mysis and brine
• Pellets and flakes

They are consistent eaters and adapt well to prepared foods.

Compatibility Notes

Avoid aggressive tankmates that may stress or outcompete them.
