What Makes This Fish Special?

Behavior & Husbandry

A sand bed is essential for this species. Leopard wrasses bury themselves in the substrate for sleeping, protection, and stress relief.
These fish acclimate best in established aquariums with minimal aggression from tankmates and plenty of natural foraging opportunities.
A secure lid or screen top is strongly recommended, as wrasses are known jumpers.
