Livestock orders ship Monday through Wednesday to help ensure safe arrival. Shipping includes insulated packaging, oxygen, and heat or cold packs when needed.

Florida overnight shipping is $50 and nationwide overnight shipping is $70.

Behavior & Husbandry

Flame Hawkfish spend most of their time perched on rockwork or coral branches, observing their surroundings. They are highly interactive and often recognize activity outside the tank.

They do not swim continuously like many reef fish, instead moving between perching spots.


Feeding & Diet

Carnivorous and very easy to feed.

What We Feed at Lush Corals:

  • Frozen mysis shrimp
  • Enriched brine shrimp
  • Pellets

In Your Aquarium:

  • Frozen foods
  • Pellets
  • Meaty foods

Compatibility Notes

Compatible with most reef fish but may prey on:

  • Small shrimp
  • Tiny crustaceans

This fish has completed our full quarantine and conditioning protocol (minimum 2 weeks) prior to being made available.

This extended process significantly reduces stress and increases long-term success, ensuring you receive a fish that is healthy, stable, and truly ready for your reef.

We don’t rush fish to market—every quarantined fish we offer has been given the time it needs to succeed in your aquarium.
