What Makes This Fish Special?
Katherine's Wrasse is admired for its attractive coloration and active personality. These wrasses spend much of their day exploring rockwork and searching for small prey items, making them both beautiful and useful additions to reef aquariums.
Their constant movement and inquisitive nature help bring life and activity to the aquarium while their colorful appearance provides excellent visual appeal.
Like many Halichoeres wrasses, they may also assist in controlling certain nuisance pests within the aquarium.
Behavior & Husbandry
Katherine's Wrasses are active swimmers that spend their day exploring the aquarium, searching rockwork for food, and interacting with their environment.
A sand bed is required, as these wrasses bury themselves at night and may use the substrate for protection when startled.
They thrive in established aquariums with stable water quality, ample swimming space, and plenty of rockwork to explore.
A secure lid or screen top is strongly recommended, as wrasses are known jumpers.
