Leather corals are hardy and easy to care for, making them a popular choice for both beginner and experienced reef aquarists. They thrive in moderate lighting and flow, and they can grow into large, attractive colonies over time, adding texture and movement to any reef tank.

Lighting Requirements for Leather Coral

Leather corals thrive under moderate lighting and can tolerate a range of lighting conditions, but they do best with gentle, indirect light.

• Ideal PAR Range:

• 50–100 PAR: Ideal for maintaining healthy growth and preventing stress.
  
  

• 100–150 PAR: Can be tolerated, but higher light levels should be introduced gradually to avoid potential bleaching.
