What Makes This Fish Special?
The ORA Ocellaris Veilfin stands out for its dramatic elongated fins, giving this clownfish a graceful, flowing appearance as it moves through the aquarium.
Its extended finnage combined with the classic orange, white, and black Ocellaris coloration creates a distinctive look that makes it stand out from standard Ocellaris Clownfish.
As an ORA captive-bred fish, it is raised in aquarium conditions and accustomed to prepared foods, making it a hardy and adaptable choice for the home reef aquarium.
Behavior & Husbandry
Ocellaris Clownfish are hardy and adaptable fish that typically establish a territory around a favorite section of rockwork, coral, or host anemone.
An anemone is not required for their health or long-term success, and clownfish may choose to associate with corals or other aquarium structures instead.
They can be kept individually or as a compatible pair. As they mature and establish a territory, they may become more assertive toward nearby tankmates.
Feeding & Diet
Omnivorous and easy to feed.
What We Feed at Lush Corals:
- Frozen mysis shrimp
- Enriched brine shrimp
- High-quality pellets
In Your Aquarium:
- Frozen foods
- Pellets
- Flake foods
- Small meaty foods
A varied diet helps maintain strong coloration, body condition, and long-term health.
Compatibility Notes
Compatible with:
- Gobies
- Blennies
- Wrasses
- Tangs
- Cardinals
- Most reef-safe fish
- Reef invertebrates
Use caution when mixing with additional clownfish, particularly once an established pair has formed.
Best maintained singly, as a compatible pair, or as part of an appropriately stocked community reef aquarium.
