The Red Sea ReefControl Grounding Probe is designed to safely neutralize stray electrical voltage in a saltwater aquarium when connected to the dedicated grounding-probe port on ReefControl Power.

Aquarium water is highly conductive, and small amounts of stray voltage can be introduced by pumps, heaters and other submerged electrical equipment. The Grounding Probe provides this unwanted voltage with a controlled path to ground through ReefControl Power.

Its corrosion-resistant titanium probe is designed for continuous use in saltwater and installs directly in the aquarium or sump.

Key Features

  • Helps neutralize stray voltage in the aquarium
  • Connects to the dedicated grounding port on ReefControl Power
  • Corrosion-resistant titanium construction
  • Designed for continuous saltwater use
  • Simple plug-and-install design
  • Suitable for placement in the aquarium or sump
  • Compatible with both Red Sea and third-party aquarium equipment setups
  • Complements the safety and monitoring features of ReefControl Power

Installation

Place the titanium probe in an area of the aquarium or sump where it will remain continuously submerged. Connect the cable to the dedicated grounding-probe connection on ReefControl Power.

Position the probe where it receives normal water circulation and will not be exposed if the sump water level changes.

Compatibility

  • Requires Red Sea ReefControl Power
  • Connects to the dedicated grounding-probe port
  • Not designed to connect to ReefControl Lite or ReefControl Pro ReefSense ports

Important Safety Information

The Grounding Probe is an additional aquarium safety accessory. It does not replace properly grounded electrical equipment, correctly installed GFCI protection or routine inspection of pumps, heaters, cords and other electrical devices.

Any equipment suspected of leaking electrical current should be disconnected and inspected or replaced.

ReefControl Power and other equipment are sold separately.
