Six Line Wrasse
One of the most popular wrasses in the hobby, the Six Line Wrasse is known for its vibrant coloration, constant activity, and natural pest-hunting behavior. Featuring electric blue striping over an orange body, this species adds both utility and movement to reef aquariums.
🔵 Conditioned & Prepared – Actively Eating
Quick Facts
- Care Level: Easy
- Temperament: Semi-aggressive
- Reef Compatibility: Reef Safe
- Minimum Tank Size: 30 gallons
- Size: Ranging from approximately 2–4 inches at adult size
Behavior & Husbandry
Six Line Wrasses are highly active swimmers that spend most of their time weaving through rockwork in search of small pests and food. They are extremely hardy and adapt very well to aquarium life.
As they mature, they may become territorial, particularly toward other wrasses or similarly shaped fish in smaller systems. Providing plenty of rockwork and swimming space helps reduce aggression.
They are known jumpers, so a secure lid is highly recommended.
Feeding & Diet
Carnivorous and very easy to feed once conditioned.
What We Feed at Lush Corals:
- Frozen mysis shrimp
- Enriched brine shrimp
- High-quality pellets
In Your Aquarium:
- Frozen foods
