Behavior & Husbandry

Valentini Puffers are highly intelligent and interactive fish that quickly learn to recognize feeding routines and activity outside the aquarium. They spend much of their time exploring rockwork and investigating their surroundings.

While generally peaceful toward larger fish, they may nip at certain invertebrates, corals, or slow-moving tankmates. Individual temperament can vary significantly from fish to fish.

Providing plenty of rockwork, hiding spots, and open swimming space will help them feel secure and display natural behavior.
